NOTICE: Thursday 21/02/2013

The theme for tonight is The Goldrush. We will be looking at what an important role the Chinese people played in this part of Australia’s history.

We will get a chance to finish off the snakes that we started last week, and then we will head outside for some “Tent Popping”. Don’t forget your antihistamines if you feel you might need them (or take one prior to coming if you need to).

GREY six is duty six tonight.

Remember your drink bottle, and make sure that you’re prepared for inspection prior to Grand Howl.

Looking forward to it already!

NOTICE: Thursday 14/02/2013

Tonight we will be celebrating Chinese New Year.

We will be having activities in the hall, and weather dependant we may be going outside to the grassland behind the tennis courts.  Those of you that need antihystameines should perhaps take one before you come or bring them with you.

BLACK six is Duty Six for tonight.

Remember to bring a full drink bottle, and for those of you that didn’t get your term payments to Kiwi last week – don’t forget tonight.

See you there.

ALERT: Bike Ride/Camp

To all cubs, leaders & parent helpers coming on the bike ride/camp, it is forecast to be quite cold overnight at Seville, so BE PREPARED, extra blankets, beanies, socks, thermals, warm clothes.

For the bike riders, layering is the go, plenty of layers beat one thick layer, also, it will most likely rain, so a comfortable rain coat/jacket/poncho will be needed.  We anticipate having a limited facility to dry shoes and jackets, so extra clothes to change into at Seville should also be packed.

NOTICE: 2008-02-07 Welcome back to The Year of the Scout!

Welcome back to Cubs for 2008 – The Year of the Scout
2008 is the Centenary of Australian Scouting and has been declared The Year of the Scout by the Australian Government.

2008-bus.jpg

We start off 2008 with a games night where a combination of old favourites and new (soon to be favourites) will be played.

The renovations to our Scout Hall commenced in mid January. Prior to this all of the equipment was moved out of the Cub and Scout dens and stored on the stage and at the kitchen end of the hall; this means that the hall is very crowded. Completion of the building works is scheduled for April 2, until that time we plan to be outside the hall for as much of our program as possible 😉
