NOTICE – 02/05/2013

This week our cubs are getting creative in the kitchen, and Indian food is on the menu.  An apron, smock or a big old t-shirt is highly recommended to keep uniform shirts clean!

We will also be welcoming Ollie into the Scouting family with his investitiure this week.

Cubs – don’t forget your inspection items and a drink bottle too.  See you there.

Investing Chloe

Investing Chloe

1st Eltham Cub Scouts (Gellibrand) welcomes Chloe, our newest pack member who was invested beside the campfire at our Camp GROTTY on Friday night. Chloe was extremely excited and proud to receive her scarf & badges from Akela, Baloo & Bagheera. The Pack celebrated with a campfire sing-along (including a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday for Harry!) followed by Hot Chocolate & Bickies before bedtime around 10:30pm. All the Cubs excitedly went off to sleep, looking forward to a day of GROTTY activity on Saturday after we welcome our friends from the Doreen Pack.

URGENT NOTICE: Dawn Service and March

Breakfast is now NOT being served at the Hall, it will now be cooked at the Memorial Hall, near the Cenotaph, by the Rovers and Scouts, after the Dawn Service  The cost will be a gold coin donation. They will also be catering for the public.

Also, the scouts are no longer taking the train, they will be using cars instead, this is due to the infrequent train service coming back from Monty to Eltham.
Please meet at the scout hall about 9:00AM so that we can arrange transport to and from Monty.

If you have any questions please contact Akela

UPDATE: GROTT Camp 26 – 28 April

Those attending the GROTT Camp this weekend are reminded to be at the Cub Hall at 6pm on Friday night ready to go.

Attached is a copy of the gear list and  PIR. Make sure you bring the PIR along with any medications your Cub requires for the weekend.

The idea of the camp is for the kids to have a greaat time getting GROTTY – activity clothes should be old (or at least, stuff you’re never going to need again).   SAVERS in Greensborough is a great place to get good quality old clothes and footwear. You can never have too much fun – you can never get too grotty…
